Transcribed from the WCHS Cemetery Index: On 16 Sep 1890, about a year after Jeannette was incorporated from Penn Township, the Jeannette Cemetery Real Estate and Improvement Company was formed.  Its purpose was to provide a graveyard for local residents.  The Association purchased 145 acres from Julia Ann Welker in Penn Township just beyond the city line.  In recent years Greenwood Memorial Park, Inc. has acquired the property.

Directions to Cemetery:  From Greensburg, take Rt 130 West to Jeannette.  Make right turn onto SR 4004-Altman Road.  Follow Altman road for 0.7 miles, and cemetery is on the right
