According to Boyd Crumrine’s, "History of Washington County, Pennsylvania with Biographical Sketches of Many of Its Pioneers and Prominent Men" (Philadelphia: L. H. Leverts & Co., 1882), in August 27, 1833, the Presbytery of Chartiers approved a church at Robinson after the local residents petitioned several times for their own place of worship separate from Burgettstown and Montour.

Land was donated to the Church for a burial ground by Matthew Bigger, the oldest son of Thomas and Elizabeth, belonging to him adjoining the Church property. The first burial was Maria, the daughter of John and Sarah Wilson, May 22, 1833.

This data was collected by the DAR and found in the genealogy section of the Washington PA library. The data is from 1937. The cemetery is still active.
