Directions to Ridgeview Cemetery: Coming from Meyersdale on Route 219, make a left hand turn onto Route 653, also called Jackson Street, into Garrett. At the far end of town, at the fork in the road, make the right turn onto Garrett Shortcut Road. Cemetery is approx. 300 yards up Garrett Shortcut Road on the right. (contributed by Rich Boyer)
As per the secretary and treasurer of Ridgeview (Old) Cemetery, there are indeed TWO cemeteries, the OLD one, which is Ridgeview, and the NEW one, which is Highland. The two are separate entities.
Highlands is visible from the main road. To visit Ridgeview, go a little further up the hill, and turn Right. You have to go back an old unpaved road to visit the old cemetery, which is down over a hillside. (contributed by Linda Marker)
