FOOT BALL

  Looking backward over the last foot ball season, we find that it has been a great success.  It is true, not so many games were played as might have been, but, with one exception, the games that were played, were won by our team.  In every case the opposing team was by far superior to ours in weight.  Our new men did excellent service and it is to be hoped that next years team will be equal to that of this year.

ADVERTISEMENTS AND PROGRAMMES

GAUDEAMUS IGITUR

Gaudeamus igitur, juvenes dum sumus;

Post jucundum, juventutem, post molestam senectutem,

Nos habebit humus, nos babebit humus.

Ubi sun quit ante nos, in mundo fuero?

Vadite ad superos, transite ad inferos,

Ubi jam fuere, ubi jam fuere.

Vita nostra brevis est, brevi finietur;

Venit mors velociter, rapit nos atrociter,

Nemini parcetur, nemini parcetur.

Vivat Academia, vivat Professores,

Vivat membrum quodlibet, vivat membra quodlibet.

Semper sint in flore, semper sint in flore.
