| The location is a hilltop just NE of the Thornton Bridge over Big Sandy Creek on Worsing Road. The cemetery was on the David Thornton farm and was said contain about 20 graves. The primitive stones are not legible. The Samuel Darby tombstone was apparently placed there by his grandsons Herman and Hosie Darby in the early 1900’s. Samuel Darby’s wife was also said to be buried there. |
