Mt Pleasant Cemetery also known as Winslow Hill Cemetery, Benezette Township, Elk Co., PA
as read by Bob Nay and family/ relatives.
In doing this for the first time I became keenly aware of the errors that can occur in reading
quickly so many grave stones in a short time period (when it is raining), and the errors
that additionally occur in typing into a format for the computer. Please if you see
any errors or missing information let me know so I can correct as much as possible. Also thanks to Iris and
Sarah Caskey for permission to use their previoius publications to supplement and check my readings.
I know this is not 100% completely correct and I couldn't read some of the markers
but I will be checking with other sources also. So any help is appreciated to keep
this list up to date. Thanks to Sherry Jerberger and others for her info to double check this. Also thanks to Bruce
and Cecelia Smith for their tombstone pictures.
A Special Noted Burial: TISHA 1/1/1991- 8/19/2004 under the tree
The cemetery is located on Winslow Hill Road about 1.5 miles up Winslow Hill from the Benezette Hotel
around a sharp turn as you reach the top of the hill. The GPS coordinates are:
