This is the original site of Mt. Zion Methodist Meeting and the original property that included the old school. Mt. Zion Cemetery Company is a later corporation formed after the Mt. Zion Methodist Church sold its cemetery to Mt. Zion Cemetery Company with perpetual care provisions. The plot we call Darby Methodist Meeting Cemetery is the site of the old church and school and the original cemetery dating to 1806-8.
