(contributed by Diane Falk Romaine) Memorial Monument John Owens and wife Nancy deeded this corner acre of their land to Clearfield as a burial ground in 1823. Among the veterans resting here are three Revolutionary War soldiers: Alexander Read 1826, Clearfield's First Postmaster; James Ardery 1814, John Owens 1853. Dedication May 26, 1986 by Community Volunteers Owens Cemetery is located just east of the City of Clearfield, Clearfield County, PA on Owens Road at the intersection of Fire Tower Road and Odell Street. |
