These are some photos that I have collected over the years of Bailey, Oklahoma. The dates are approximated. Some of the photos were not dated when I received them. It is my pleasure to share these Photos and memories from my personal journal entitled “Edna’s Walk Down Memory Lane”

On our wedding day June 16, 1941

This photo was taken in front of our first home. I called this house the old Dutton house. It was owned by C. P. Mc Kenney

(Note: The old Dutton house was the last remaining old house in Bailey until it burned in Oct. 2003)

The Building on the Left is the Hupp Store and the white building was the Lodge building (It maybe the Mason Lodge.) 1941

Looking to the north, the building on the left is the old Mosely Store, was owned by Otis and Estelle Furr in 1938 to 1945. The building on the right is the Hupp Store, and the white building was the Lodge building ( It maybe the Mason Lodge). 1941

Article about the Bailey bridge that across Rush Creek. Was published in the Marlow Review, Marlow, Oklahoma somewhere around 1945 to 1946

The Bailey bridge that spans Rush Creek., cousins Edna (Evans) Wilson and Cecil Mae Evans were out horse back riding. 1941

Revivals or camp meeting were held in and around Bailey‘s brush arbors.

Bailey residents were being baptized, in the 1930’s. East of Bailey

Edna Evans attended (as a small child) this baptism and watch from the bank of the pond.

These photos were taken on the front steps of the old wooden Bailey School house before the new rock school was built.
