Wolf Creek Cemetery

Wolf Creek Cemetery was donated to the community by the Thornley Family. This privately owned cemetery (owned by Mitchell's today) is no longer used because there are so many unmarked graves and very few records were kept that it is impossible to know if there are any empty lots. I would say it is full. This is a well kept cemetery and is located in Section 3, Twp 8, Range 10. From Durant take State Highway 78 south for four miles, turn left (east) on Highway 70E, go eight miles, the highway will make a sharp curve to the east, at this curve go straight ahead (south) one-half mile, turn right (west) one-half mile, the cemetery is on your left. From Roberta, go east two miles on the highway, turn right, go two miles, the rold will curve to the east, go one and one-half miles, the cemetery is on the right. If you have any photos of tombstones in this cemetery, send them to Gene Phillips
