Obit-FORMER PHILA MAN KILLED IN FLORIDA STORM A former resident of this city and Stillwater was found dead yesterday morning, two days after Hurricane Donna ripped through Florida. George Brainerd, 60, a resident of Bonita Springs, Fla., located just southwest of Ft. Meyers, Fla., had left his residence and combination store-filling station upon notification of the city?s evacuation Saturday morning and was found dead later in a mangrove swamp about two miles from his residence. According to his brother, Jim, of Stillwater, George had resided in Bonita Springs for five years. After he and his wife, Marie, along with other residents were evacuated, he returned to his store and was attacked by ?Donna.?Officials found his vehicle in a canal and personal belongings in the car. His body was found in the swamp later.Two sons, James and Robert, Canton residents, flew to Bonita Springs early yesterday morning and sent word back here that they feared their father was dead. Fifteen minutes later they discovered he was killed in the hurricane.
