Cottingham, Headstone
Cottingham, Dorris, Apr. 13, 1906 - Dec. 31, 1906 Dorris Easton Cottingham was the dau. of John William and Katherine Easton (Harrison) Cottingham. She died of Pneumonia at the age of 8 months. The birth & death year on her stone should be 1904.
Cottingham, Marion A., Aug. 16, 1894 - Oct. 8, 1978 Marion Agnes Cottingham was the son of John William and Laura Ella Morgan (Freeman) Cottingham. Marion never married.
Cottingham, John William. May 8, 1861 - Nov. 30, 1930 John William Cottingham, born in Lincolnshire, England, was the son of George Waltham and Elizabeth (Larder) Cottingham. John married 1st to Laura Ella Morgan Freeman, dau. of James and Julia Rebecca Frances Howard (VanSwearingen) Freeman. He married 2nd to Katherine Easton Harrison, dau. of Levi and Elizabeth Frances (Cottingham) Harrison.
Cottingham, Laura, Nov. 5, 1867 - May 8, 1902 Laura Ella Morgan Freeman, (teacher) dau. of James and Julia Rebecca Frances Howard (VanSwearingen) Freeman. She was the first wife of John William Cottingham.
Cottingham, Katherine E., Sept. 26, 1878 - Jan. 10, 1946 Katherine Easton Harrison, dau. of Levi and Elizabeth Frances (Cottingham) Harrison was the second wife of John William Cottingham. Katherine was born Kate Easton Harrison but changed her name to Katherine when she came to America.
Sutherland, Annie, Feb. 28, 1863 - Jan. 24, 1913 Ann Elizabeth Harrison, dau. of Levi and Elizabeth Frances (Cottingham) Harrison married James Sutherland. Annie was the sister of Katherine Harrison, second wife of John William Cottingham. Annie came to America to help nurse her sister "Kate" thru an illness, got Pneumonia and died here.
VanSwearingen, Thomas, 1803 - 1898 Thomas VanSwearingen was a Judge and the grandfather of Laura Ella Morgan (Freeman) Cottingham.
