| McGahan, James, died Nov. 12, 1850, aged about 60 y's * James McGahan is my direct ancestor. Additional surname correction & family association supplied by descendant, Regina Gonnella. He is the father of Januaris Aloysius MacGahan, whose statue and grave are in the cemetery at New Lexington, OH. Don't know how the name ended up being spelled the Scottish way, (which is how I first saw it) but the family was 100% Irish. |
