These tombstone photos have been generously donated by Robin Fife, Sept. 3, 2004
The cemetery is on the east side of State Route 684, just south of pageville (Downington), Meigs Co., OH. The cemetery is still in use and adjoins the Wells Cemetery with a driveway between them. Riggs Cemetery contains the remains of Jeremiah D. Riggs, Sr. and his wife Rachel Keller, although there are no stones remaining. Jeremiah Riggs, Sr. was the first white settler of what is now Pageville. Jeremiah & Rachel's son James was the first white child born in Scipio Twp.

Brickles, Bayless Quim, 1852 - 1922 Bayless, son of Joseph Sr. & Rebecca Brickles. He married Isabel Rose Whaley, dau. of Kames William & Sarah (Kelly) Whaley.
Byerly, Ardath L., 1903 - 1960 Ardath Violet Lynch was the daughter of San Francisco & Addie Rosetta (Rigs) Lynch. She married Howard Bayless Byerly, son of Peter Elize & Elizabeth (Hempleman) Byerly.

Lynch, Addie R., 1863 - 1917; S. Fran, 1852 - 1912; Roy, 1906 - 1915 Addie Rosetta Riggs, dau. of Alvin Perry & Nancy Rollins (Stevens) Riggs, married San Francisco Lynch, son of Dr. Pericle John Lynch & Ruhanna Stout. Roy Lynch is the son of San Francisco & Addie Rosetta (Riggs) Lynch.
Lynch, Ernest A., 1882 - 1962 He was the son of San Francisco & Addie Rosetta (Riggs) Lynch.
Riggs, Jeremiah D., 1811 - 1873; Isabella, 1815 - 1894 Jeremiah D. Riggs Jr., son of Jeremiah D. & Rachel (Keller) Riggs, married Isabella Gillespie.
Riggs, Lewis -Infant- Lewis Riggs was the son of Jeremiah D. Jr., & Isabella (Gillespie) Riggs.
Riggs, Elias K., age 18 Elias K. Riggs, II (he had an uncle Elias K. Riggs) died at the age of 18. He was the son of Jeremiah D. JR. & Isabella (Gillespie) Riggs.
Riggs, Rebecca -Infant- Rebecca was the daughter of Jeremiah D., Jr. & Isabella (Gillispie) Riggs.
Riggs, William, died July 8, 1878, aged 36y 11m 16d William was the son of Jeremiah D., Jr. & Isabella (Gellespie) Riggs. He married Mary Westfall.
Riggs, A. P., 1823 - 1892; Nancy R., 1825 - 1917 Alvin Rerry Riggs, son of Jeremiah & Rachel (Keller) Riggs married nancy Rollins Stevens, daughter of William III & Cynthia W. (Oaks) Stevens.
