Rose, Arthur P., Jan. 9, 1893 - Mar. 6, 1991 Arthur was born in Baileyville, KS, son of Harvey Walter & Cordilia Marvella (Howard) Rose. Grandson of Rev. Jehu Rose & Elizabeth Jane (Niday) Rose. Arthur died in Huntington, WV.
Rose, H. W., 1861 - 1945; C. M., his wife, 1857 - 1951 Harvey Walter Rose was the son of Rev. Jehu Rose & Elizabeth Jane (Niday) Rose. Cordelia Marvella Howard, wife of H. W. Rose, was born Sept. 25, 1857 Wisconsin, died Feb. 8, 1931, Walnut Twp., Gallia Co., O., daughter of Albert J. & Sarah A. (Croush) Howard.
Rose, Hubert Clayton, Aug. 29, 1900 - July 16, 1916 Hubert Clayton Rose - Aug. 29, 1900, Baileyville, Kansas - July 16, 1916, Walnut Twp., Gallia Co., Ohio - Drowned in Symmes Creek near Cadmus, Ohio while trying to save a couple whose buggy had overturned in the water. Hubert was the son of Harvey Walter and Cordelia Marvella [Howard] Rose.
Rose, Elizabeth J., wife of Jehu Rose died Feb. 15, 1884, aged__ Elizabeth Jane (Nida) Rose - Nov. 25, 1829 - Feb. 15, 1884 -Daughter of Peter S. and Delilah [Colwell] Nida - 1st. wife of Jehu Rose.
Rose, Frances M., 1907 - 1940 Frances Marie Davis - daughter of Daniel and Ora Mae (Boggs) Davis, Wife of Arthur Rose, Mother of Walter, Juanita and Thelma. Born: Feb. 15, 1907. Smoky Roe, Harrison Twp., Gallia Co., Ohio, Died Sept. 6, 1940, German Hollow, Walnut Twp., Gallia Co., Ohio. This is my grandmother.
Rose, Faraba, 1876 - 1965; Arthur, 1875 - 1960 Arthur Rose, Nov. 21, 1875 - Jan. 19, 1960. Arthur was the son of James Edward and Sally (Edwards) Rose. Faraba Sheets, Sept. 30, 1876 - May 24, 1965. Faraba was the daughter of Brice M. and Sarah M. (Saunders) Sheets.
Neal, Thomas, died March 24, 1918, aged 100y 11m 24d This Thomas Neal was the son of Walter and Deborah (Arnot) Neal. He was born March 19, 1817 at Storme's Creek near Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio and died at the home of his daughter, Samantha Whetsel, Jackson County, Ohio on March 24, 1918 at the age of 100 years, 11 months and 24 days. He was married to the former Belinda Allison, Jan. 26, 1837.(This information is from the collection of Rev. Chester Miller who wrote the book Neals of Bedford Co., Va. and Family of Walter Neal, Sr. of Lawrence and Gallia Counties, Ohio.
Neal, Belinda Allison, Nov. 13, 1817 - Deb. 17, 1896, aged 78y 3m 4d Belinda (Allison) Neal, 1st wife of Thomas Neal.
Neal, Deborah Arnot, b. 5-24-1787, d. 12-7-1843, Married Walter Neal 4-10-1804, Dau. of Henry Arnot, Rev. Soldier [Henry Arnot, Sr. is buried in Monroe Co., WV] Deborah was born in Bedford Co., VA, May 24, 1787 to Henry & Elizabeth (Truesdale) Arnot. She died Dec. 7, 1843 Walnut Twp, Gallia Co., OH, She was married to Walter Neal, Jr. on April 10, 1804 in Monroe Co., VA. Walter remarried after her death to Elizabeth Griffith Landthorne. He is buried in the Landthorne Cemetery, Harrison Twp., Gallia Co., OH. Deborah Arnot's nephew Jesse, was the one that carried President Lincoln's body in his hearse from the train station at Springfield to the funeral and on to the cemetery. Deborah was my 4th great grandmother.
Neal, Jemima E., 1831 - 1908 Jemima E. (Hamilton) Neal was the second wife of Thomas Neal, son of Walter & Deborah (Arnot) Neal. Thomas and Jemima married on June 21, 1896 in Gallia Co., OH.
