The old church was originally a United Brethern Church est. in 1847. After the Methodist Churches & United Brethern Churches merged in 1968 there were very few United Brethern Churches left, as most became United Methodist Churches. This "Old Pine Church" has been closed since the merger.
The most recent update to this page made on 11 Dec., 2006.

McGinnis, Mary L., 1891 - 1982 Mary Luella (Patterson) Shires Knox McGinnis, is the mother of Roy McGinnis, her only son. She is my beloved Grandmother, died right after I graduated from college. She was born 28 June, 1891, died 1 Oct., 1982, maiden name Patterson, adopted at age 3 by Shires, after her mother died. She married first to a Knox and they had a daughter that died very early in life. I do not know her first husband's first name. John Thomas McGinnis was her second husband. He died and was buried in Eau Claire, PA.
