HSENSENBA

I have the names and dates of three people who were buried in the old Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Jacob S. Sensenbaugh
born 2 Jan 1799
died 28 Jun 1891 Buried in the Mt. Pisgah Cem.
All that is left of his stone is the very top.

Only Catherine’s stone is still intact. The inscription states:
Catherine wife
of Jacob Sensenbaugh
Born: 8 Jan 1803
Died 1 Apr 1878
My wife beneath this soil is laid,
Aged 75 years, 2 months 22 days.
Whose gentle spirit upward high has flown,
To Christ own footstool he who finally said,
Put trust in me of place in heaven you’ll own.

Also one son who apparently never had a tombstone
John Henry Sensenbaugh
born 9 Sep 1832
died 11 July 1838
He drown in the family well.

Following is a picture of the tombstone of Catherine (Kline) Sensenbaugh
