TITLE: Marion Ezell Brown SOURCE: The New and Reporter, July 25, 2001 SUBMITTED: The News and Reporter FORMATTED: Kim Grissom, *********************************************************************** Mr. Marion Ezell Brown, 51 PIEDMONT – The funeral for Mr. Marion Ezell Brown of 601 Highway 17, formerly of Chester, was conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19 from Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest Chapel in Greenville. The Rev. Dale Welch, pastor of Second Baptist Church in Great Falls, officiated and burial followed in Greenville Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Brown, 51, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his residence. Born at Pryor Hospital in Chester on Sept. 13, 1949, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Ervin Ezell Brown and the late Milwee Brock Brown. He was also the grandson of the late John Lee Brown and the late Fannie Lemaster Brown, both formerly of Lowrys and a graduate of Greenville High School. He was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Greenville and was formerly employed with Western Textile in Piedmont. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Messer Brown; two daughters, Connie Whitt of Williamston and Paige Justice; two granddaughters, Brittany Whitt and Courtney Rae Justice; a grandson, William Christopher “Will” Whitt; and a twin sister, Myra Warford of Stafford, Va.
