ELIZA GROSS IS BURIED TODAY Aged Starr Woman Laid to Rest at Cross Roads This Afternoon The death of Mrs. Eliza Gross, 83 years of age, occurred early yesterday morning at the residence of her niece, Mrs. E. O. Scott, of Starr. Mrs. Gross had been in declining health for a long period of time, and her condition had been serious for the last several months. She was born and reared in the Starr community and spent practically all of her life in that section. She had large family connections in the lower part of the county. Mrs. Gross was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church for a long period of years. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Cross Roads church with the Rev. W. B. Hawkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. M. M. McCuen. Interment followed in the Cross Roads cemetery.
