Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Idaho <> Harold Wilson, 63 Harold Fred Wilson, 63, Coeur d'Alene, went to be with his Lord on Aug. 9, 2004, while being treated at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. He was born Feb. 7, 1941, in Monroe, La., to Ruth and Fred Wilson of Little Rock, Ark. Harold grew up in both Monroe and Little Rock. In 1959, he joined the Navy, and became a 1st class petty officer. From there, he went into medicine where he graduated with an M.D. degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. From 1976-2001, Harold worked in private practice at Monticello Medical Center in Monticello, Ark. During that time, he served the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians as board director, 1990-96, officer, 1996-98, and president from 1999-2000. He was assistant clinical professor of family medicine at UAMS from 1991-2001, founder and director of UAMS Satellite Residency Training Center at Monticello, 1998-2001. Harold was recently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bible study from Louisiana Baptist University. He loved playing his guitar, traveling, fishing, golfing, reading, gardening, and studying the Bible, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Lela, of Coeur d'Alene; daughter, Karey Kelly, Bryant, Ark.; sons, Steve Hand, Searcy, Ark., and Burch Wilson, Little Rock; stepsons, Tommy Ashley, Monticello, Ark., and Jett Ashley, Dallas; and five grandchildren. Harold is also survived by his sister, Betty Dozier of Little Rock; brothers Ron Wilson, North Little Rock and Stan Wilson, Birmingham, Ala. He was preceded in death in by his mother and father, Ruth and Fred C. Wilson. Funeral service was Aug. 13 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Highway 5 North, Little Rock, Ark., (501) 455-1067. Burial took place at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Memorial service in Coeur d'Alene took place Aug. 17 at Koinonia House in Post Falls.
