Donna Welberg, 65

Donna  Jean  (McNutt)  Christison  Welberg, 65, died July 30, 2004, of heart
problems, in Post Falls.

She was born to Elwin and Gertrude McNutt on Feb. 9, 1939, in Emmett, Idaho,
where  she attended school. In 1955, she married Jack Christison. They lived
in  Emmett  and  LaGrande,  Ore., and had four children: Cindy, Cheri, Marty
and Tony. They later divorced.

Donna  married  Mick Welberg in 1968 and resided in Emmett for six years and
in  Post Falls for 29 years. They had one son, Bobby Welberg, whom they lost
at  age  19  in  1986  after  a  long struggle with leukemia. Donna and Mick
shared  35 happy years that ended with Mick's passing in December 2003. They
enjoyed family, politics, horseracing, camping and just being together.

Donna  worked  in  various  fruit  orchards and packing sheds in Gem County/
Emmett  Valley.  In her earlier years, she had a long career with Albertsons
in  Boise,  Emmett,  Spokane  and  Coeur  d'Alene.  In her 38 years with the
company, she had many friends, several of them co-workers.

Donna  faced  a  lot  of  hardships and adversity in her lifetime and always
approached  each  endeavor  with  grit,  determination and dignity. Her hard
work,  ethics,  positive  attitude and kindness were an inspiration to every
life she touched.

"Mom  --  your  children  would  like  to  thank you for the strong sense of
self-worth  and  confidence  you instilled in each one of us as individuals.
Thanks  for  the  joy, sparkle and fun you brought to the simplest of tasks.
You  supported  and  praised us in our accomplishments and you were there to
offer  advice  and  point  us in the right direction when we were wrong. But
most  of  all,  thanks  for  the unconditional love that knew no boundaries.
Your  patience and wisdom made us believe anything was possible if we worked
hard enough."

Donna  is  survived by hers and Mick's children: Cindy (Mike), Cheri (Mike),
Marty  (partner  Amber),  Tony  (partner  Melissa),  Steve, Scott, Willy and
Chris;  grandchildren  Mikki,  Chad,  Troy, Eric, Sasha, Stefan, Ryan, Cody,
Mardi  and Lacy; and eight great-grandchildren; special sister Marion Pratt;
brother Bill McNutt; and sister Carol.

She  was  preceded  in death by her parents, husband Mick, son Bobby, sister
Arlene and Brother Morris.

Services will be 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls.
