Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho <> Pat VanWagner, 60 Patricia Lynn VanWagner, owner of Pat's Patchwork, 60, passed away, Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in Clark Fork. Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. today at Hope Elementary School, with Pastor Scott Douglas officiating. Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is handling the arrangements, (208) 263-8130. Born Aug. 22, 1944, in Las Vegas, to John and Lucile Patterson, Pat grew up and attended schools in Carlsbad, N.M. Her senior year, the family moved to Watford City, N.D., where she graduated. Pat married Alan VanWagner on Oct. 4, 1962, in Sunnyvale, Calif. During the 1970s, they lived in Alberta, Canada, and in 1980, moved back to Watford City. They moved to Clark Fork in 1991. Pat's love of quilting lead her to open Pat's Patchwork where she sold quilting materials and supplies, and specialized in long arm quilting. She was a member of the Cabinet Mountain Calvary Chapel in Clark Fork, Assembly of God Church in Watford City, Panhandle Piece makers, taught Sunday school and attended Bible study. A founding member of the Clark Fork Valley Quilters, Pat enjoyed quilting and many clients who became friends. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, flower gardening and reading. She is survived by her husband, Alan VanWagner, of Clark Fork; daughters Sherry (Kris) Wold, Clark Fork, Lana (Gary) Brennan, Bowman, N.D.; grandchildren Brandon, Michael, Kalynn, Dillion, Heather and Josie; brothers Mike, Bud, Jim and Willie Patterson; father-in-law Jerome VanWagner, Claresholm, Alberta, Canada; and special friends Wade, Stacey and Darian Barton. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, son Glen VanWagner, brothers Jack and Joe Patterson, and mother-in-law Clara VanWagner.
