Frederick A. Smith, 86
Frederick A. Smith, 86, of Grangeville died Saturday, Nov. 20, at the 
Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Oswego, N.Y., a son of Jesse and Anna Marie Holtz 
Smith. He attended school in Oswego before joining the CCC and worked at Coeur 
d'Alene in the late 1930s. He joined the United States Army and served in the 
Asiatic, Pacific, European and Middle Eastern theatres as a sergeant. Following 
his discharge he worked as pipe fitter for Armstrong Cork Company in Fulton, 
N.Y., for 34 years.
