Ransier, 69, Coeur d'Alene, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene. Born Jan. 11, 1935, in Rolla, N.D., to Earl and Louise (Lafrance) Bisom, she was raised in North Dakota. At the age of 15, Shirley moved to Seattle, and then around 1960, to Coeur d'Alene. In 1962, she married Bill Ransier in Coeur d'Alene, where they remained. Shirley had worked mostly as a seamstress and tailor for many years. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Aerie 486. Shirley's hobbies included making stuffed animals and quilting. She is survived by her children Bill Ransier, Clancy Lehman, Earl Butler, Chet Butler, Jean Garrard and Jerry Walker; stepchildren Terri Carter and Rick Ransier; brothers and sisters, Hank Bisom, Erling Bisom, Vera Ball, Elsie Neilson and Bill Bisom. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 1996. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. November 20 at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel.
