Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Idaho <> John Reeves, 60 John Charles Reeves, 60, Coeur d'Alene, died Sept. 27, 2004, at Kootenai Medical Center. Born Dec. 21, 1943, in Humboldt, Neb., to Virgil and Lucille (Smith) Reeves, John grew up in Castleford, Idaho. He received a BA in English from the College of Idaho (Albertson College) in Caldwell, where he also met and married Diane Tucker, originally from Hayden Lake. John taught in public schools for 15 years -- one year at Burns, Ore., seven years at Idaho City, Idaho, and seven at Leadore, Idaho. The family moved in 1984 to Bonners Ferry, where John enjoyed refinishing furniture. In 1999, he and his wife moved to Coeur d'Alene, where John continued his refinishing projects. John was a member of the Eagles in Hayden Lake and Coeur d'Alene Bible Church. He also enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, camping and hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Diane Reeves, at home; son and daughter-in-law, JD and Judy Reeves and grandsons, Runner and Chay, all of Bonners Ferry; sister Vi Leverich, Purdy, Mo.; and brothers Mack Reeves, Kimberly, Idaho; Virgil Reeves, Filer, Idaho; and Guy Reeves, Georgetown, Texas. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Oct. 9 at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, followed by a reception in the Yates Hayden Chapel Gathering Center.
