Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Idaho <> Roland LeCoultre, 75 Lifelong St. Maries resident Roland Adamir LeCoultre, 75, died of cancer July 7, 2004, at his home near St. Maries. Roland was born March 8, 1928, in St. Maries, to Adamir and Maud (Patterson) LeCoultre. In 1949, he married Doris Werdell on the banks of the St. Joe River. Roland will be remembered as a devoted, loving, dignified, gentle and kind husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a knowledgeable and highly accomplished worker, but a very humble man. He enjoyed family, friends, reading and travel, and was forever "learning about most everything." Survivors include his wife, Doris, at the family home; daughters Shirley Sines and Janette Walker, sons Ronald LeCoultre and Andre LeCoultre, all of St. Maries. Roland is also survived by his sister, Maxine Spooner. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandsons, Cedric Moore and McKya Cordle. At his request, there were no funeral services. The family suggest memorials to the Roland A. LeCoultre Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund. The fund will be established for graduates of St. Maries High School who attend North Idaho College in pursuit of a degree in auto or diesel technology.
