Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Idaho <> Julia Kinney, 80 Julia Anna Kinney, 80, Post Falls, died July 31, 2004, in Coeur d'Alene. Born Oct. 21, 1923, to Margareta Franziska and George Forest Swan, in Tamalpais Valley, Calif., Julia was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She married Leonard Oren Kinney on Nov. 23, 1944, in Santa Rosa, Calif. They came to North Idaho in 1952. Julia's wish for her children and grandchildren was: "I hope with all my heart that you all find Mr. or Mrs. Right like I did, have a family and live in contented bliss. A lot to ask for, but who knows? I did. With every bad thing that happens, if you look hard enough, something good comes out of it." Julia was a member and lecturer of Cloverleaf Grange. She loved crocheting, baking, gardening, crafts and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Oren Kinney of Post Falls; son and daughter-in-law Douglas Oren and Lisa Lynn Kinney, Post Falls; daughter and son-in-law Linda Carol and Jim R. Guy, Post Falls; grandchildren Shane Guy, Coeur d'Alene, Angel Kinney, Scott Guy and Patrick Kinney, all of Post Falls; brother George Swan, Spokane; sister Mildred Gillespie, Monte Rio, Calif.; great-grandchildren Amber Guy, Jessaca Keith, Tylor Guy, Alexis Davis, Austin Guy, Levi Guy and Teresa Tuten. Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Margareta, in January 1989, father George in July 1968, brother Arthur Deforest Swan on March 9, 1916, and brother Albert Lester Swan on June 4, 1984.
