Leo Richard Kaschmitter, Sr., 80

Leo Richard Kaschmitter, Sr., ended his struggle with cancer on Oct. 21, 2004. 
He was born Jan. 9, 1924, at Our Lady of Consolation Hospital in Cottonwood to 
Raymond and Mary Kolbeck Kaschmitter. He grew up on the Camas Prairie and 
served in the Army at Fort Lawton, Wash., from 1946-47. He returned to 
Grangeville where he met and married Patricia Cox on Jan. 3, 1951. They resided 
on the Camas Prairie farming and ranching together for 53 years.
