Coeur d'Alene Press - The Daily Bee Coeur d'Alene, Idaho <> Submitted by: Kristy Taylor [muddypaw@onemain.com] Clyde "Hoss" Harris, 71 Clyde "Hoss" Harris, 71, Hayden, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2004, at his Hayden home. Hoss was born Oct. 30, 1932, and was raised in Tennessee by his parents, Minas Harris and Millie A. Conner. Hoss married Colleen Hatfield in 1953 in Lakeview, Georgia. He enlisted in the Army and was part of the Korean War. After he was discharged, he moved to San Fernando Valley, Calif., where he lived from 1959-96. After that, he moved to North Idaho. Hoss was a machinist for Aerospace Industries and retired in 1994. His hobbies included cat-fishing, wood working, leather working and rebuilding classic cars. Hoss is survived by his wife, Colleen, at home; children and spouses Vickie Ybarra and Loren, Hayden; Ron and Melissa Harris, South Carolina; Vincent and Penny Harris, Tennessee; Tammy and David Tuten, Spirit Lake; Sharon and Richard Hart, Hayden; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Claude Harris and Andy Harris; sisters Margaret Brown and Ruby Grant; and several nieces and nephews. Hoss was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cleo Grant. Contributions can be made to North Idaho Cancer Center, 700 Ironwood Drive, Coeur d'Alene ID 83814. A life celebration was held July 12 at the family home in Hayden. Graveside service will be held at Granny Walker Cemetery, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
