KOOTENAI VALLEY PRESS Boundary County, Idaho Virginia May Friederich 1938 ~ 2004 November 30, 2004 Memorial services for Virginia May Friedrich, 66, Moyie Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Chapel with Pastor Gale Morman officiating. Virginia died at her home Friday, November 19, 2004. She was born to William and Doris Cook in Rochester, New York, September 8, 1938, and she grew up and attended schools in Rochester. She studied to become an art teacher for two years at Buffalo State University, and on August 22, 1959, she married Karl Friederich in Rochester. Virginia worked in bio-plastics at the Ward’s Natural Science establishment in Rochester and later served as head of food services for the Salvation Army in Kalispell. They lived in northwest Montana, from Kalispell to the Yaak, before moving to Moyie Springs in 1994. Virginia was baptized in the Missouri Lutheran Church, and she was a member of Crossroads Chapel. She was a member of the Curley Qs, and she loved the mountains and the west. She enjoyed cooking, house keeping, fishing, playing cards, painting, making paper cutouts and reading. She is survived by her husband of 45 years; son Erik Friederich, Los Angeles, daughter Kristen (Devon) Griffiths, Kanab, Utah, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Cook.
