Laura Evans

Laura C. Evans passed away at Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene.

She was born Sept. 21, 1905, in Kensal, N.D., and attended school in Hingham, 
Mont. After graduating from high school, she married Harold Evans.

Laura and Harold moved in 1925 to Rathdrum, where Harold accepted a teaching 
position. In 1941, they moved to Coeur d'Alene, where Harold served as 
principal of Coeur d'Alene Junior High School, and later became principal of 
Coeur d'Alene High School.

Harold preceded her in death in 1973.

Laura was a devoted homemaker taking pride in her family, flowers and pets. A 
life member of Queen Esther Order of the Eastern Star, she was also a member of 
Coeur d'Alene Women's Club, a charter member of Kootenai Humane Society, and 
Retired Teachers Association.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Bertram, and husband Marvin Bertram 
of Moses Lake, Wash; grandsons Bruce and Bill Bertram; great-grandchildren 
Scott and Rebecca Bertram; and nieces Arleen Gosselin, Carolyn Schotzko and 
Marilyn Gross.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Oct. 23 at Riverview Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene. 
English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of arrangements.
