Priest River Times Priest River, Idaho Submitted by: Kristy Taylor [muddypaw@onemain.com] Nathan Leroy Collins, 18 Nathan Leroy Collins, 18, passed away early Aug. 4, 2004, due to an industrial accident at J.D. Lumber Company. He was born at Spokane, Wash., on June 25, 1986, to Donald and Kelly (Ray) Collins. He attended schools in Cusick, Wilbur, and Priest River. Nathan participated in junior high football and high school baseball. He graduated this spring from Priest River Lamanna High School. He was a hard worker, spending his summers working on a farm in Wilbur, and during the school year as a planer and stacker for J.D. Lumber. In his spare time, Nathan enjoyed riding snowmobiles, working on Chevy pickup trucks, and 'chasing girls.' He loved being with his family and friends, telling jokes and making everyone laugh. Survivors include his parents, and a brother and sister, Cameron and Melanie Collins, all of Oldtown, two grandfathers, Herman B. Collins of Cocolala, Idaho, Bill (and Bernie) Ray of Spokane, and two grandmothers, Donna (and bob) Morozzo of Loon Lake, and Connie (and Norm) Weston of Spokane, and numerous aunt, uncles and cousins. A memorial service was held on Aug. 9 at the Newport Assembly of God Church. A reception will immediately follow. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made at Spokane Teacher's Credit Union in Nathan L.
