Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at Cloverdale Memorial Park with Rev. Allen H. Swan of the Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Mr. Bevins was born Dec. 23, 1912, at Manti, Utah. He grew up in Bend, Ore. He met and married Louise Vader in Twin Falls, Idaho on Aug. 17, 1933. Maurice worked 18 years for the Idaho Power Company. After retiring from there, Maurice and Louise built Smiley Creek Lodge in the Stanley Basin. They ran the lodge for twenty years. Maurice loved hunting and fishing, trap shooting, gold panning and coin hunting. His hobby was wood carving, particularly water fowl. Survivors include his wife, Louise of Boise; his daughter, Evelyn Steele of Mesa, Ariz.; and his son, Lee Bevins of Boise; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His parents and a brother Rex, died earlier. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospitals, c\o The El Korah Shrine Temple, 1118 W. Idaho Street, Boise, Idaho 83702. Friends may call today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
