Obituary of WATSON, NORA MORGAN Keowee Courier, April 26, 1961 Submitted by: Susan Brock-Booker Service Tuesday For Mrs. Watson Mrs. Nora Morgan Watson, 86, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Callas, in Seneca, following several months of declining health and serious illness extending over several weeks. Mrs. Watson, a daughter of the late James Matterson and Elizabeth Hunnicutt Morgan, was a native of Oconee county where she spent all of her life with the exception of four years in Greenwood. Her husband, the late George Brown Watson, died in 1930. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist church where she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one son, Coke C. Watson, of Seneca; six daughters, Mrs. Claude Callas, Miss Georgia Watson and Mrs. Amos Hunnicutt, all of Seneca; Mrs. Frances Timms, of Greenville; Mrs. Norris Harris, of Atlanta, and Mrs. J. Archie Earle, Sr. of Allendale. Several grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Brown's Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Robert Harden and the Rev. James P. Stokes. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery. Pallbearers: Paul, Frank, Earle and Ross Morgan, A. D. Stringer and W. M.
