Obituary of VAUGHN, DELOMAR ISABELLA DUCKETT 1962 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, February 14, 1962 Vaughn Rites Held Tuesday Mrs. Deloma Duckett Vaughn, 87, died at the home of her son, J. E. Vaughn of Westminster Highway near Walhalla Monday following several months declining health and two weeks serious illness. Mrs. Vaughn was born in Oconee county, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Sarah Crenshaw Duckett. She was the oldest member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She spent most of her adult life in the Picket Post community. Her husband, Daniel Norman Vaughn, died in 1949. Surviving are two sons, J. B. Vaughn of Walhalla and J. E. Vaughn also of Walhalla; two daughters, Mrs. W. L. Rochester and Mrs. James L. Martin, both of Seneca; one sister, Mrs. Kate Hayes, of West Union, Rt. 1, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday from Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. W. C. Lindsey, the Rev. M. J. Stansell and the Rev. M. F. Finley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Leon Vaughn, J. E. Vaughn, Jr., Claude Vaughn, Arthur Ellenburg, Charles Ellenburg, and James L.
