Obituary of THOMAS, BEULAH STANCIL 1965 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, November 23, 1965 Rites Conducted For Mrs. Thomas Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Stancil Thomas, 69, of Seneca, who died Friday, were conducted Sunday at Lydia Baptist Church at Newry by Rev. R. R. Sassard, Rev. Furman Sanders, and Rev. J. H. Tannery. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Floyd White, Bill Clayton, Joe West, Rudolph Perry, Dan Baldwin, Wesley Adams, Grady Thomas and Henry Cater. Native of Oconee county, daughter of the later Bieman and Mrs. Ellie Stancil, Mrs. Thomas lived at Newry most of her life, moving to Seneca seven years ago, and was a member of Lydia Baptist Church. Her husband, Marvin Thomas, died in April 1962. Surviving are two sons, Ed Thomas of Seneca and Bud Thomas of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Emerson of Greenville; two brothers, J. B. Stancil of Texas and T. S. Stancil of North Carolina; five sisters, Mrs. A. J. Moore and Mrs. Arshall Moore of Seneca, Mrs. Essie Jones of Fountain Inn, Mrs. Ruby Sanders of Greenville and Mrs. Pearl Landreth of Spartanburg; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
