Obituary of SMITH, MARY ELIZABETH HARBIN 1964 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, November 11, 1964 Rites Conducted For Mrs. Smith Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harbin Smith, 76, of Walhalla, died at her home in the Neville community Saturday after 10 month of illness. A lifelong resident of Oconee county, daughter of the late William J. and Rhoda Adams Harbin, she was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church and the Mamie Duncan Sunday School Class. Surviving are her husband, John H. Smith; three sons, William H, (Bill) Smith of Walhalla, Norman Smith of Mountain Rest and Paul Smith of Greenville; five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Cleveland of Highlands, N.C., Mrs. Jessie Mills, Mrs. M. S. Thompson and Mrs. Willard Johnson of Walhalla and Miss Frances Smith of the home; five brothers, Arthur C. Harbin of Roanoke, Va., Steve Henry, Walter and Plumer Harbin of Westminster; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church by Rev. C. G. Wyatt and Rev. Roy Burgner. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Marcus, Jimmy and Randy Mills, Johnny Cleveland, Rayburn and Clinton Smith.
