JIMMIE SCHUMACHER
   Walhalla--Jimmie Crofford Schumacher, 68, of 175 Creekside Drive, Walhalla, 
died Thursday, July 16, 1992 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.  Born in Atlanta, she 
was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a retired schoolteacher.  
She was the widow of Snead Schumacher, and a daughter of the late Wister James 
and Annie Pauline Grant Crofford.  Surviving are a daughter, Susan Baxter of 
Walhalla; and four grandchildren.  Memorial services were at 5 p. m. Saturday 
at St. John's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. John L. Petry, III.  
Memorials may be made to Biggerstaff Retreat Center, 301 W. Main St., Walhalla,
