Obituary of SLOAN, JANIE MOSS 1980 Oconee, SC

   Walhalla--Janie Moss Sloan, 65, of North Catherine Street, wife of John T. 
Sloan, died Monday.  Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late 
Walter B. and Annie Bryant Moss, a Star Route mail carrier, a member of the 
National Starr Route Mail Carrier Association, the Walhalla First Baptist 
Church, and the Ladies Sunday School Class.  Surviving also are a son, Edward 
Sloan of Taylors; daughters, Louise Boughman and Shelby Jean McLane of 
Columbia, Sue Ellen Fletcher of Greenville, Martha Williams of Easley; a 
brother, Rev. Elbert Moss of Mariana, Fla.; sisters, Jeanette and Idell Sheriff 
of Seneca, Hazel Kirkland of Forestville, Ga., Aloe Chapman of Salem; 10 
grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  Services will be at 3 p. m. 
Wednesday at Walhalla First Baptist Church with burial in Oconee Memorial Park. 
Davenport Funeral Home is in charge.
