Obituary of STANCIL, GERTRUDE HUNNICUTT 1969 Oconee, SC

Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Stancil
   Mrs. Gertrude Hunnicutt Stancil, 72, of Old Clemson Highway, widow of J. B. 
Stancil, died Monday.    She was a native of Oconee county, daughter of the 
late Reese and Maggie Wade Hunnicutt.  She was a retired textile worker.  
Surviving are three sons, Albert Duke of Walhalla, J. B. Stancil of Seneca; a 
brother, A. Seneca(sic) of Seneca; a brother, A. L. Hunnicutt of Seneca; three 
sisters, Mrs. Agnes Gambrell, Mrs. Willie Cain and Mrs. Mary Pelfrey of Seneca; 
a half-sister, Mrs. Stella Hunnicutt of LaFrance; and 12 grandchildren.  
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church by the Rev. 
John Slocum, the Rev. Paul Hayes and the Rev. Preston Garrett.  Burial was in 
the church cemetery.
