Obituary of SANDERS, ELISHA L. 1965 Oconee, SC

Sanders Rites Held Saturday
    Elisha L. Sanders, 77, of the Return community, died at Oconee Memorial 
Hospital Thursday after several months of declining health and three weeks of 
illness.  Lifelong resident of Oconee county and a retired textile worker, he 
was a son of the late George end Mary King Sanders.  He was a member of the 
Return Baptist Church. His wife was the late Ada Freeman Sanders.  Surviving 
are two daughters, Mrs. Claude Hunnicutt of Walhalla and Mrs. Ethel Spurlock of 
the home; a brother, Perry Sanders of Seneca; 15 grandchildren and several 
great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted at Return Baptist Church 
by Rev. S. T. Dickson and Rev. Joe McCoy. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park.  
Pallbearers were Charles and Lloyd Hunnicutt, Billy Spearman, Marian Sanders, 
Douglas Lecroy and Jess Holcombe.
