Frank J. Rankin Taken By Death

    Frank James Rankin, 86, of the Tamassee community, died Saturday in Oconee 
Memorial Hospital after three months of illness.  A retired farmer, son of the 
late William Edward and Annette Kelley Rankin and Oconee county native, he was 
never married.  He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.  Surviving are a 
brother, Walter E. Rankin of Seneca, and a sister, Mrs. L. D. Abbott of Seneca. 
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Bethel Presbyterian Church near 
Tamassee by Rev. Erskine Clarke.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Nephews 
served as pallbearers.
