Obituary of ROBINSON, JUDIE ALEXANDER 1953 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, July, 1953 Beloved Cheohee Resident Dies Mrs. Judie Alexander Robinson. 87, beloved resident of the C33eoatee section near Salem, died at her home Wednesday following an illness of three months. Mrs. Robinson was a native of Toxaway, N. C., but came to Oconee county as a bride and had resided here since. She was a daughter of the late John and Millie Ann McCall Reid, of Toxaway, N. C., She was twice. married, first to the late John Alexander, who died in 1898. From this union four daughters survive, Mrs. T. D,. Whitmire and Mrs. J. M. Sanders, both of Greenville, Mrs. W. M. Nations of Cheohee, and Mrs. Rhoda Brown of Seneca. One son and two daughters preceded her to the grave, Vernon Alexander, Mrs. J. S. Sheppard, and Miss Dellar Alexander. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Dock Nicholson of Seneca, 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Her second husband, Hamp Robinson, died in 1926. They had no children. Funeral services were held at the Cheohee Baptist church of which she was a member, Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Roy Murphree, her pastor, and the Rev. Virgil Merck conducted the rites. Burial was in the Alexander family cemetery at Little River. Grandsons served as pallbearers: Tommy, John, and Wofford Whitmire, Marvin and Charlie Sanders and Walter Nationas.
