Obituary of  MEIBURG, WILLIAM F.  1906 Oconee, SC

   William F. Meiburg died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Schumacher on 
December 21, 1906, aged 33 years and 11 days. His funeral services were held in 
the Lutheran church conducted by Rev. H. C. Grossman, and his body was laid to 
rest in the Lutheran cemetery. Mr. Meiburg was born in Charleston and was a son 
of Mrs. Schumacher by a former marriage. He spent some years in Walhalla and 
made many friends by his generous, genial disposition. He had been in failing 
in health for several months. In his last moments he made confession his sins 
and expressed his trust in his Saviour. He was buried in hope and commended to 
a merciful Heavenly Father, whose infinite love has room for every penitent. 
Mr. Meiburg was instructed in the Christian life and confirmed by Rev. Dr. 
Muller, and remained a member of the Lutheran church until his death. The 
family wish to express their thanks to all the dear friends who were so tender 
in sympathy and so helpful in kind acts. May God reward them.
