Obituary of MOSS, FRED LEMUEL 1989 Oconee, SC

    WALHALLA - Fred Lemuel Moss, 72, of Route 1, Coffee Road, widower of 
Beatrice Chapman Moss, died Tuesday, May 9, 1989 at VA Medical Center in 
Asheville.  Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Lemuel A. and Ruth 
Stancil Moss. He was a retired mechanic with Edwards Auto Sales, retired 
Walhalla merchant, U.S. Army World War II veteran, member of the Lewis E. 
Blanchett Post of the American Legion, and a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist 
Church, where he was member of the Joe Moss Sunday School Class.  Surviving is 
a brother, John Moss of Walhalla.  Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Rocky 
Knoll Baptist Church conducted by Dr. James A. Kirkpatrick and the Revs. Carl 
Raines and Roy Burgner. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park.  Davenport Funeral 
Home was in charge of arrangements.
