Obituary of MORGAN, ELIZABETH HUNNICUTT 1925 Oconee, SC Keowee Courier, April 29, 1925 Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan, who was well known to many people of Walhalla and Oconee died at the home of her son, Alonzo Morgan, of Jordania, on Wednesday, April 15th, and was buried at the New Hope cemetery on Thursday, the 16th. The funeral and burial services were conducted by Rev. W. C. Seaborn, of Pickens community, and a large number of friends and relatives attended the last sad rite. Mrs. Morgan at one time resided in Walhalla with her children, but all had moved from this place several years ago, and she was making her home at Jordania when the end came. Mrs. Morgan was not ill, but suffered a fall from the porch of the home on Friday prior to her death and her advanced age would not permit of recovery from, the injuries received. Had until the 20th of May, she would have been 90 year of age. Her husband, J. M. Morgan, died about 2l years ago. Mrs. Morgan was a consistent member of the Baptist church had been a member for 67 years. She was a splendid woman, and, there are many who will join with us in extending to the bereaved ones sincere sympathy in their sorrow. Mrs. Morgan is survived by the following children; Horace Morgan, of Williamston; W. H. Morgan, of West Union; Joseph Morgan, of Newry; Mrs. W. J. Huskamp, of West Union Rt. l; Mrs. Nora Watson, of Jordania, and Alonzo Morgan, also of Jordania. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
