Obituary of LUSK, BLOSSOM DORATHIE KNOX 1985 Oconee County, SC Keowee Courier, April 24, 1912 Death Claims Mrs. W. D. Lusk Passed Away at Home at Tamassee Last Thursday Mrs. Blossom Dorathie Lusk died at her home at Tamassee on the 18th instant, after an illness of about four months from a complication of diseases. She was born April 16th, 1870, being 42 years old at the time of her death. On February 29th, 1888, she was happily married to W. D. Lusk. To this union were born 11 children, 7 of whom are living, 4 having preceded her to the grave. Mrs. Lusk was the eldest daughter of Mrs. Narcissa M. Knox, whom she leaves, with one sister, Mrs. Hassie Chastain, of Cheohee, and one brother, H. D. Knox, of Walhalla, and her husband, 7 children and one grandchild to mourn her death. She had been a consistent member of the Cheohee Baptist church for 24 years. She was a true Christian, and stated to her pastor before her death that she was prepared and willing to go and was only waiting for the Lord to call her home. She was a loving and affectionate wife and mother. Her remains were laid to rest in the Cheohee Baptist burying ground on the 19th in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends.
