Littleton Rites Are Conducted

    Funeral services for Mrs. Clara H. Littleton, 82, who died Sunday, were 
conducted Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Salem by Rev. M. J. Stansell.  
Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Derrill, John F., Roy R., 
Darvin and Ves Chapman, and T. C. Littleton.  Honorary escort included members 
of the Mamie Duncan Sunday School Class of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church.  Mrs. 
Littleton was a lifelong resident of Oconee county, a daughter of the late Rev. 
Daniel and Bethany Guinn Littleton.  She was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist 
Church and the Mamie Duncan Sunday School Class.  Her husband, William Lewis 
Littleton, died in 1956.  Surviving are four sons, Clovie (Buster) Littleton of 
Walhalla, Harley (Fritz) Littleton of Walhalla, Woodrow Littleton of 
Charleston, and Seaborn Littleton of Walhalla; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie 
Eason of Greensboro, N. C., Mrs. Ressie Jones of Atlanta, and Mrs. Laura Abreu 
of Denver, Colo.; one brother, John Littleton of Greenville; 10 grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren. Davenport Funeral Home was in charge.
