Obituary of KNOX, BERTIE THOMAS   1930 Oconee, SC

    Seneca, Sept. 18---Mrs. Bert Thomas Knox, wife of John A. Knox, died at 
Anderson county hospital this afternoon.  She is survived by her husband, and 
two small daughters, Joan, age 3 and Gwendolyn, 10 months; her parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. W. L. Thomas of South Union; and the following brothers and sisters, Joe 
Thomas and Mrs. Joe Farr, of South Union; Hoyt Thomas and Mrs. C. V. Boylston, 
of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. G. W. Shirley of Walhalla.  Funeral services will 
be held from the residence of Depot Street Friday morning at 11 o'clock, the 
Rev. H. L. Kingman officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. V. Bald.  Interment 
will follow in Mount View cemetery.  The following will serve as pall-bearers; 
Joe Farr, Joe Thomas, Hoyt Thomas, Jim Knox, Barron Knox, Will Knox, G. W. 
Shirley and Sam Cappell.
