Mrs. Huskamp Passes Friday
   Mrs. Carrie Morgan Huskamp, 81, of the New Hope community near Seneca, died 
in an Aiken hospital Friday following an illness of two months.  Mrs. Huskamp 
was a native of Oconee county, a daughter of the late Matt and Elizabeth 
Hunnicutt Morgan, pioneer citizens of the Ebenezer Baptist church.  Her 
husband, the late W. J. Huskamp, died in 1929. She was visiting her son, Macon 
Huskamp, in Aiken county when she became ill.  Survivors include one daughter, 
Mrs. J. C. Baumgardner, of West Union; three sons, Macon Huskamp of New 
Ellenton, Aiken county; Gus Huskamp of the Fairview community near Seneca, and 
Harmon Huskamp of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Nora Watson of Seneca, and 
one brother, L. L. (Boy) Morgan, of Seneca; a number of grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the 
New Hope Baptist church with the Rev. Clyde Crenshaw, the Rev. M. J. Stansell, 
and the Rev. C. V. Marchbanks officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. 
Grandsons served as pallbearers and granddaughters as flower-bearers.  The 
escort of honor was composed of deacons of the New Hope church, along with R. 
E. Nimmons, Jr., John Field, F. C. Ayer, Sr., and T. C. Moore.
